Monday Merge #2
In the last week, I’ve been continuing half marathon training, working on school, working full time, and fitting in going to the climbing gym when I can. Here are a few things I’ve been particularly grateful for during this time.
Gear
Stalogy 365Days Notebook
I’ve been using this notebook to keep organized day to day and I really like it. I tend to want to use an entire page for each day, and this notebook lets me do that. Plus, the layout is great and the paper feels premium. Find it on Amazon.
Hoka One One Bondi 7 Running Shoes
My running shoes have been awesome, considering that I’m still training with them and my feet don’t hurt at all. I’ve never been able to run more than a few miles in a shoe without my feet hurting before I got these shoes.
Apps
Obsidian.md
This is my favorite note-taking app I’ve ever used, and I’ve been using it for all of my school notes and have used it for work too. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to take notes. It supports vim mode, has a vibrant community that builds plug-ins for it, and it runs and stores all files locally on your device.
Sorted
Sorted is a great, simple, task management app that is easy to pick up and use but also has incredibly powerful features for planning, scheduling, and re-scheduling tasks as needed. I have it installed on my phone and my Mac, but I typically use it on my phone. A nice thing is that tasks can still sync across your devices, so you can always have the full Sorted feature set and have all of your tasks available.
Books
This week, I started listening to “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future” on by Ashlee Vance on Audible, and so far I’m really enjoying it. It is easier to listen to while running than Atomic Habits was, but I think that’s because I kept pulling out my phone to take notes on Atomic Habits while I was running. The book by Ashlee Vance is a very interesting look into the life of Elon Musk.
Thanks for reading, if you enjoyed it check out last week’s Monday Merge:
